This song was originally written as an assignment. Back in February 2021, I was taking lessons with an American guitarist and composer called George Bellas (www.GeorgeBellas.com). We were working on mixed metre (changing time signature) and one of the assignments was to compose a piece of music that had a lot of changing time signatures.
In an effort to challenge myself, I composed this piece, where the time signature changes every bar. Hopefully the melody sounds quite "smooth", so it's not obvious that the music, rhythmically, is so complex; but if you try to tap your foot, you'll probably struggle.
